Cred Statement on Social Injustice

Cred Community,

As a company built on the ideals of fairness and inclusivity, our beliefs and mission extend far beyond financial services. In the words of Ginetta Sagan, “silence in the face of injustice is complicity with the oppressor.” In the past week, the United States has witnessed first-hand the systemic racism that permeates our land. As a company founded on the belief of equality, we can no longer remain silent on the inequality of human rights. The death of George Floyd is a stark reminder that as a country we can and must do better. We must continue to challenge ourselves, challenge each other, and be better advocates for one another, especially when it is uncomfortable. 

Cred stands in solidarity with the people and organizations fighting to ensure that Black Americans are treated with dignity and are given the same rights and privileges that so many of us are fortunate to receive. Many of us are speaking out this week and engaging in peaceful protests, and as a company, we are contributing to organizations that address police violence and racism in America.  We strongly encourage you to speak up for those whose voices can’t be heard and educate yourself and your community so we can encourage reform. There are countless organizations on the front lines of social justice that need our support.
